When recently planning a trip to Bolivia I wasn't sure where to even begin or who to trust regarding logistics and attractions.  Photographs of La Paz and Salar de Uyuni were incredibly compelling, but I'd read that road and hotel closures were common, and without a proper guide it looked like Bolivia was off the table.
